Jean-Paul MangeolleJean-Paul Mangeolle

President of AB SCIEX

Jean-Paul Mangeolle is President of AB SCIEX where he is responsible for AB SCIEX’s global operations and leading the company as it continues to provide solutions that will allow scientists around the world to find answers to improve scientific understanding and safeguard health.

Jean-Paul comes to AB SCIEX with extensive experience building teams and profitable businesses across the globe in multiple market segments, including biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, academic research laboratories, microelectronics manufacturing and OEM companies. Most recently he was Executive Vice President for the Process Solutions Business Unit of Merck-KGAA Millipore. In this role he held full P&L responsibility for a €1.0B business. Jean-Paul spent more than 25 years with Millipore in progressively larger roles culminating in the role of President, Bioprocess Division, where was also a member of the Corporate Executive Committee and an elected Corporate Officer. In this role he led a $900M division with 1,000 employees.

Jean-Paul received his M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Montpellier, France and his B.A./B.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Chambery, France.


Andrew ClarkAndrew Clark

Chief Financial Officer / Vice President Finance & IT

Andrew Clark is the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President Finance & IT of AB SCIEX where he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial performance and information technology of the company.

Prior to joining AB SCIEX in 2012, Andrew held several executive financial and management positions at other Danaher operating companies, including Chief Financial Officer positions at Portescap, Setra & Sonix, as well as concurrently holding the position of interim General Manager of Portescap Singapore/Malaysia.

Andrew started his career as an audit manager for Price Waterhouse LLC, moving on to work in financial and controller roles for Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., Peek Traffic Corp., Gemesis Corp., PGT, Inc., and CEG, Inc. until coming to Danaher Corporation in 2008.

Andrew received his B.S. in Business Administration majoring in Accounting from the University of Connecticut, and is a Certified Public Accountant.


Gordon LoganGordon Logan

Senior Vice President of Research & Development

Gordon Logan is the Senior Vice President of research and development at AB SCIEX and is responsible for all R&D activity at AB SCIEX.

Previously, Gordon was Senior Vice President of product development at MDS Analytical Technologies with strategic and operational responsibility.

Prior to joining AB SCIEX 2006, Gordon was a Director at Labformatics Ltd., a laboratory management consultancy, where he focused on the instrument business at VG and Fisons Instruments prior to their acquisition by Thermo Electron, where he became president and managing director of informatics.

Gordon earned a master's degree in biotechnology/biochemical engineering at the University of Birmingham, UK and a PhD in bioreactor optimization and biosensor design from the University of Sunderland, UK.


Chris RadloffChris Radloff

Vice President and General Manager of MS Business

Chris Radloff is Vice President and General of the Mass Spectrometry business at AB SCIEX where he is responsible for lead the growth of our LC/MS business around the globe in strategic markets including; pharmaceutical, food, academic, environmental, clinical and forensics working with R&D, regional sales and service teams around the world.

Chris joined AB SCIEX in 2013 from Mettler-Toledo International Inc., where he was General Manager for the global analytical business.

Chris evolved his career through application, product management, sales and marketing roles leading to several general management and CEO-positions at companies in Europe and the US including time at RAININ Instruments, Büchi Labortechnik, and Bruker.

Chris earned a PhD in physical chemistry, focusing on 2-dimensional NMR methods to analyze proteins from the ETH Zürich (the Federal Institute of Technology Zürich). He also holds a master's degree in physical chemistry from ETH Zürich.


Veronique BergerVeronique Berger

Vice President of Global Marketing

Véronique Berger is Vice President, Global Marketing and Strategy and is responsible for leading AB SCIEX’s global marketing including the shift to digital marketing strategies across market segments to enable revenue objectives. She is also leading AB SCIEX strategic planning to advance growth.

Véronique brings a wealth of global marketing expertise that stems from her diverse experiences in strategic marketing, product management, marketing research, consultative sales and branding. She has held key marketing leadership positions and led teams at marketing consulting firms, Deloitte and GE Healthcare.

Prior to joining AB SCIEX in September 2013, Véronique spent 8 years at GE Healthcare where she held key leadership positions including leading global marketing and product management teams for the Diagnostic Cardiology ($240M revenue) and Patient Monitoring ($950M revenue). Notable achievements include the successful re-positioning for the life science product line that resulted in 15% brand awareness gains, the development of a new business model to grow the Diagnostic Cardiology product portfolio by 6%, and marketing transformation of the Monitoring business from product to solutions with integrated value propositions and new digital sales enablement activities.

Véronique holds a Masters of Art in Communication from the Université des Sciences Humaines in Strasbourg, France and a M.B.A in International Marketing and Finance from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. She is fluent in French and English and speaks German and Dutch.


Markus LusserMarkus Lusser

Vice President of Global Sales & Customer Support

Markus Lusser is Vice President of global sales and customer support at AB SCIEX where he is responsible for overseeing all AB SCIEX growth and customer support engagements.

Markus joined AB SCIEX in 2011 from Carestream Health, where he was a Senior Vice President in charge of directing global medical sales and services for the company's digital medical imaging, healthcare IT, and medical films/printing businesses.

Prior to that, Markus worked for Siemens Healthcare’s Molecular Imaging business unit as the Vice President Global Sales and Marketing. During his successful 20-year career at Siemens, Markus held progressively more responsible roles in marketing, product management, and sales/service leadership spending his professional life evenly split between living in Germany and the US.

Markus holds an electrical engineering degree in telecommunications and electronics from the College of Electrical Engineering in Innsbruck, Austria (HTBLA).


Eric GerberEric Gerber

Eric Gerber, Vice President of Business Development

Eric Gerber is Vice President of Business Development at AB SCIEX and has had responsibility for acquisitions and licensing for the company since 2011. Eric has extensive experience in M&A, strategic planning, marketing, and technology incubation.

Prior to joining AB SCIEX, Eric was Senior Director of business development for Dionex Corporation where he headed corporate BD and strategic planning. During his tenure at Dionex Corporation, Eric was also responsible for sell side integration in Dionex's merger with Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Earlier in his career, Eric was responsible for technology incubation at Applied Biosystems and spent 8 years as a product manager in Varian’s chromatography division.

Eric started his career at the lab bench as a synthetic organic chemist in 1993 at Shaman Pharmaceuticals in South San Francisco and holds a bachelor's degree in organic chemistry from Reed College in Portland, OR.


Georgeann CoucharaGeorgeann Couchara

Vice President of Global Human Resources and Communications

Georgeann Couchara is Vice President of Human Resources and Communication for AB SCIEX where she is responsible for leading and driving organizational and leadership development; talent management and talent acquisition; and broad global internal communications.

Recently joining AB SCIEX from Ormco Corporation, another Danaher operating company, Georgeann provided human resource leadership to support a company which became a premier digital orthodontic platform provider. She has extensive expertise in talent nurturing. Prior to this role Georgeann was Director of Corporate Human Resources and talent at Danaher Corporate, where she managed the talent acquisition and development process.

Georgeann earned a BA in Applied Psychology and a Masters of Arts in Industrial and Labor Relations from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.


KY WongKY Wong

Vice President of Global Operations

KY Wong is the Vice President of Global Operations for AB SCIEX where he oversees Global Planning, Transportation and Logistics, as well as all Operations functions for the Singapore and Canada Manufacturing facilities.

Prior to joining AB SCIEX in 2012, KY spent more than 30 years working in management positions of increasing responsibilities with 23 years as Vice Presidents and Managing Directors of Advanced Micro Devices (Singapore), Compaq Computer (Singapore) , Berkley Industries (Singapore) and JDS Uniphase (Singapore) where he had responsibilities for the entire operations at these sites.

In 1992, KY was appointed to the advisory board for the Bachelor of Technology (BTECH) program at the National University of Singapore. In addition, he is a volunteer board member at Bizlink and The Helping Hand, which are social enterprises for the disadvantaged.

KY holds a Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Singapore.


Jason PengJason Peng

Vice President of Global Service

Jason Peng is Vice President of Global Service at AB SCIEX where he is responsible for managing the service business and meeting customer needs throughout the instrument life cycle around the world. Jason has extensive global experience in service commercial growth, service operations efficiency improvement and customer quality improvement in the after-sales environment.

Jason joined AB SCIEX Singapore in 2007 as Managing Director and was responsible for establishing the green field Singapore manufacturing facility, focusing on product transfers and new product introduction from North America. In 2008, Jason was named Vice President of Asia Operations with management responsibilities for both AB SCIEX and Molecular Devices plants in Asia. He was promoted in 2010 as Vice President, Global Operations, responsible for AB SCIEX worldwide manufacturing, material sourcing, planning and logistics and distributions. In 2013, Jason was promoted to Vice President, Global Service.

Prior to joining AB SCIEX, Jason spent 15 years working for PerkinElmer and AlliedSignal in Singapore in various management positions of increasing responsibilities. Most recently, he held the role of General Manager for the PerkinElmer plant in Batam, Indonesia. Jason has spent multiple years managing manufacturing plants in Singapore, China and Indonesia.

Jason earned double bachelor’s degrees in both automotive engineering and business management from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. He also holds a Mater degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the National University of Singapore.


John PlohetskiJohn Plohetski

Vice President and General Manager of Separations

John Plohetski is Vice President and general Manager of Separations at AB SCIEX, where he oversees the integration of the Beckman Coulter Life Sciences capillary electrophoresis business and the SCIEX liquid chromatography business into one business.

John joins us from Gilson Incorporated where he was Chief Operating Officer of Gilson’s chromatography and life sciences liquid handling products. As COO John led the organization to 15-per-cent growth, successfully driving market and product strategy and accelerated product development. Prior to joining Gilson John was Vice President and General Manager of Thermo Fisher’s Ion Chromatography and Sample Preparation Business Unit and previously was Senior Vice President, Chemical Analysis for Dionex. Prior to Gilson Inc. where he held P&L responsibility for the $260M business with 300 employees.

John received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology.


Kevin SmithKevin Smith

Vice President & General Counsel

Kevin is Vice President and General Counsel at AB SCIEX where he manages the legal, intellectual property, trade compliance and EHS functions for the company.

Kevin joined AB SCIEX from Novartis, where he was General Counsel for the Novartis Molecular Diagnostics Unit. Kevin held a number of legal leadership positions at Novartis Pharma, including Head of Legal for General Medicines (NSO, IID and Established Medicines) and for the Emerging Growth Markets. Before Novartis, Kevin worked for international law firms in New York, Silicon Valley and London.

He is admitted to practice law in New York and California and is an admitted US patent attorney. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Juris Doctorate from Albany Law School.
